Sync Grades from MyLab & Mastering into Moodle’s Gradebook

If you are using the Pearson’s MyLab & Mastering integration in Moodle, you can concurrently assimilate a gradebook item for each assignment from myLab into your Moodle gradebook. This won’t update automatically but it’s a quick process an instructor can run on a regular basis to sync grades between the two systems without heavy data entry or an unwieldy import/export process.

These instructions assume you’ve already setup MyLab & Mastering in your course. For additional support with the setup process, contact your Pearson Support Representative.

Enter your Moodle course which has already been setup with Pearson MyLab and Mastering.

Expand the Nav Drawer from the top-left corner (if it isn’t already open).

Click the Grades link.

From the options presented near the top of the page, click the Import tab.

Then click the Sync Pearson MyLab & Mastering Grades tab.

Click the blue Sync MyLab & Mastering Grades button.

And that’s it! Go check your gradebook and rearrange the order of grade items if needed.

NOTE: There will be new manual grade items listed in your gradebook (if not already present from a previous integration) with a snapshot of the most up-to-date grade data from MyLab & Mastering.
