Orientation
Introductory Chemistry has been taught at Clackamas Community College for four decades. During that time both the content and the presentation have evolved. In Fall 1998 it was made available in this hybrid on-line + lab presentation. The intent of this Orientation (along with the Syllabus, found on your course Moodle page) is provide you with information about the course content, expectations, and mode of delivery.
Each lesson contains a statement of the purpose of the lesson and a list of objectives. You will be held responsible for what is stated in these objectives. You will be tested on them in the quizzes and final exam. Each lesson also contains assignments. Most include reading assignments, lab exercises to be turned in, and problem sets. You can find the assignments and objectives in your Workbook, as well as in the "Objectives" page in each online lesson.
Each lesson's experiment(s) will be available in the lab for one week, and will not be available after that week. (There are no make-up labs available.) Check your syllabus for the schedule.
