Lesson 6: Acids & Bases: Nomenclature of Acids, Bases, & Salts and Acid-Base Titrations

This is the second of our three lessons on acids and bases.

The experiment for this lesson is one of the more time-consuming experiments this term.  You need to make sure that you have read the procedure before you begin.  (Of course, you should be doing that for every lesson.)  This experiment takes approximately 2 hours to complete; although it may take more time if you are not prepared when you begin or if you are not being careful as you do the procedure.  It works best if you allow enough time to complete the entire experiment in one sitting.  You will be graded on accuracy this week - so be patient and careful.

Answers to the self quiz are available on the Wrap-up page.
