Groups should already be enabled, but if you are not able to create or use groups within your course please follow these steps.
Click the Settings option from the secondary navigation.
Scroll down to and expand the Groups section.
Set the default choice for Group mode:
- No groups
- Separate groups: Each group member can only see their own group, others are invisible
- Visible groups: Each group member works in their own group, but can also see other groups
Set Force group mode to No.
NOTE: If you set Force group mode to Yes all activities will use the Group mode selected above and you will not be able to change it within the individual activities.
If you only have one grouping that you intend to use primarily, you can set Default grouping to the name of that grouping.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save and display button.
