Quiz: Adding Page Breaks

This is called pagination- it’s controlling how many questions appear on a given page in a quiz, after doing this you can manually add or remove these automatic page breaks. Adding new questions to a quiz after applying this setting will enforce that pagination on all new questions.

Automatic page breaks can be used to place a specific number of questions on each page. The default setting is 4 questions per page, but you can use these steps to change this value.

Enter the Quiz you want to modify.

Click the Questions option from the secondary navigation.

Click the Repaginate button.

Select the number of questions you want per page from the drop-down menu.

NOTE: The default is 4 questions per page. We suggest you design your quiz so students are on a page for no more than 5 minutes, as this will minimize a loss of data in case of a connection issue. Only select the Unlimited option if you want to print the quiz for students to complete offline.

Click the Go button.

You can enter a page breaks anywhere within your quiz other than before the first question or after the last question of a quiz.

Enter the Quiz you want to modify.

Click the Questions option from the secondary navigation.

Locate the question you want to appear on a new page, and click the + icon to the left.

A new page break will appear above the question.

Repeat as desired.

You can remove both automatic and manual page breaks to reorganize your quiz.

Enter the Quiz you want to modify.

Click the Questions option from the secondary navigation.

Locate the page you wish to remove (e.g., Page 2).

Click on the X icon to the left of the page break.

Repeat as desired.
