Many textbook and course material publishers provide a direct integration into Moodle to limit the number of sites students need to log into.
These instructions assume your publisher’s representatives have already worked with Online Learning to perform the initial LTI integration. If this is a new LTI that is not already available in Moodle please put in a Request for LTI Integration.
NOTE: This process can take time so please make sure to request a new LTI integration at least 4 weeks prior to the start of the term so we have time to set up and do proper testing.
Locate the LTI tool you want to add to your course.
Enable Show in activity chooser to the right of the LTI tool.
NOTE: If you do not see your publisher’s tool listed please request LTI integration by submitting a ticket with OLET.
Scroll to where you want to add the LTI External Tool activity.
Click the plus symbol to access the Add content drop-down menu.
NOTE: If you want to add between two existing activities or resources you will need to hover over the dashed line to have the Add content link appear.
Select Activity or resource option from the drop down.
To add the course content you will need to follow the directions provided by your publisher as each LTI External Tool functions differently.
NOTE: Online Learning is generally unable to assist with LTI integrations beyond the initial setup. If you or your students are experiencing issues, please contact your publisher’s support representatives first.
