Add Multiple Resource Files

Home > Add Multiple Resource Files

You can quickly add the following file types to your course:

  • Word Documents
  • PowerPoint Files
  • Compressed Zip Files
  • Images
  • Any file you want to make available for your students to download

DO NOT upload video files directly to Moodle. Review the multimedia options in Moodle article for better ways to add videos to your course(s).

Enter your course and turn Edit mode on.

Turn Editing On button is found in the top-right corner of a Moodle page you have permission to modify content for.

Resize the web browser window that contains Moodle, so it doesn’t take up your entire screen.

Open up the folder on your computer that contains the file(s) you want to add to your course.

NOTE: You CANNOT drag files from one web browser to another web browser. The files MUST be accessed through your computer via folder, drive, or desktop.

Locate the file(s) you want to add to Moodle in the file manager.

NOTE: Use the CTRL/control key to select multiple files at the same time.

Drag the file(s) from the file manager to where you want to place them in Moodle, and release the mouse button when the dashed box displays: Drop files here to add them at the bottom of this section.

Once the file(s) have been copied, you will be able to see them at the bottom of the section in Moodle.
